Y’all – it’s Friday. Only eight more hours until I hit the road to Nashville, truckin’ on down I-65 south towards the place “where things make sense”, according to my sweet senior year suitemate Alyssa. I can’t wait to see those girls and celebrate our friendship! Once a suite 1004 girl, always a 1004 girl.
But in the meantime, I wanted to share a little bit of what is on my heart lately. This #SheReadsTruth business? It continually challenges me and stretches me and blows my mind – all in a good way.
Are there mornings when I wake up and simply don’t want to participate? Absolutely. Have I mentioned before that I’m not a morning person? Because I am certainly far from it. I’ve been trying to transition more towards it, but that’s simply a topic for another day. Today I’m focusing on the best part of my mornings.
Even when I’m tired, even when I haven’t had my coffee yet, even when I’m stressed and late for school or work and have to pack my lunch – even then, I try (because I’m only human) to always squeeze in a few minutes for the Lord. Because really, doesn’t He deserve more than just a few minutes of our time?
I can tell that my days are more centered when I check in with my #SheReadsTruth ladies first. And that’s why I’m so excited for what they have in store for us the rest of this year! Philippians? Colossians? Thanksgiving? ADVENT? The Truth just keeps on comin’. And I’ll be here waiting, (im)patiently.
