October wrap-up

Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you have a very spooooooky day, filled with lots of candy. My Halloween will be fairly tame this year – nothing like the Halloweens of college! I’m anticipating some work, then some homework, then some sleep. Good times.

Wonder Woman and SuperGirl. Oh college.

But in the meantime? Let’s recap October’s goal, to get more rest. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t my most successful goal ever. I blame Orlando. And Vandy’s homecoming.

Don’t get me wrong – rest is good. Rest is important. Rest is something that I need and want and understand the necessity of. However, sometimes rest takes that backseat to living life. Sometimes rest falls prey to having fun, or making memories, or passing classes.

So what did I learn this month? To maximize my time of rest. Because it may be few and far between. I’ve learned to unwind at night, and to savor my mental rest, and to start prioritizing. Practice makes perfect, and clearly I need a little bit more practice!

How did you do with your October goals?

  1. I definitely néed to work on the rest too!!! I never leave the time for it!! U guys look adorable in the costumes!!! U should feel like a super girl/wonder woman everyday!!!!! Happy Halloween! Spa <3

    • I feel like it’s something we all need a little bit of work on! Never enough hours in the day. Thank you, happy Halloween to you too!!

  2. Rest can be really hard to get, especially because life can so easily get in the way! One of my big goals for October was to start up my plank challenge and do 30 minutes of planks throughout the month. I accidently didn’t start until October 24th (procrastinator!!), but still got 16 minutes in this last week. Here’s a recap of my month and goals: http://wp.me/p1S9Uj-hc

    • So true – sometimes life does just get in the way!! I’m so impressed with your planking. I have terrible core strength!
