Pure Barre + Paintball

Hello my friends! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekends – I know that I sure did! Mine was filled with lots of food and drinks, fun with friends, and a few new adventures. And all with my parents out of town – I had the run of this place around here!

But in between all of that fun (and homework), I did manage to squeeze in two interesting new workouts. One traditional, one…not so traditional.

Saturday morning, Cullen and her sister Mary-Charles took me to their new favorite workout – Pure Barre! I’d heard of it before, because all of the Vanderbilt girls loved it. Basically it is a cross between ballet, Pilates and weight lifting. Lots of tiny movements for tons of reps. It was hard! I didn’t love it enough to leave our fabulous gym, but I did enjoy it.

And then yesterday morning, the real fun began – paintball! Picture me, in baggy jeans and a face mask, sprinting through the woods, ducking behind barrels, toting a massive gun. Surprisingly a hard workout! My legs are going to be SORE tomorrow – let alone the massive welts. But I feel hardcore, so it was worth it!

And now, it’s back to the old grind. School and work, work and school! Can’t we have holiday weekends every weekend?
