Hello all! I had a fabulous night last night, rocking out to Mumford and Sons with my friend Claire and her parents down on the Waterfront. Seriously – if you haven’t seen Mumford live, do it! They are incredible. They seriously sound exactly like they do on their CDs.
The show was killer. Great music, great staging, great lighting – we even managed to narrowly avoid the rain! Only a few sprinkles the whole night. Incredible. I thought I’d leave you with some of my favorite Mumford lyrics today – they are so poetic!
“In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
Where you invest your love, you invest your life” (Awake My Soul)
“Keep the earth below my feet
For all my sweat, my blood runs weak
Let me learn from where I have been
Keep my eyes to serve my hands to learn” (Below My Feet)
“So give me hope in the darkness that I will see the light” (Ghosts That We Knew)
“But hold on to what you believe in the light
When the darkness has robbed you of all your sight” (Hold On to What You Believe)
“But plant your hope with good seeds
Don’t cover yourself with thistle and weeds
Rain down, rain down on me” (Thistle and Weeds)

I’m glad you had a great time! What a pretty photo of you two
