Good morning people – TGIF!! Seriously. While this past week has been great (first days of school and of practicum), I’m running on information-overload right now. I have been oriented to within an inch of my life, and I cannot read another form/manual/binder right now without fear of my brain shriveling up and/or exploding! Which is problematic since all of my homework involves reading…I feel like this is going to be the story of my graduate school career.
Back at the beginning of this month, I deemed August the month to work on my blog. Aside from doing some small technical improvements, one of my main tasks has been to rethink this whole blog in lieu of my current life situation. If you didn’t get the point of the first paragraph – these next two years are going to be extremely busy for me!
In months past, I have had time to blog every single day. I woke up, had a leisurely morning over coffee and breakfast, checked out some blogs/Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/etc, and typed up a little post. Regardless of whether or not I really had anything interesting to say.
That is going to change a little bit. Now that time is more precious (and limited), I won’t be posting every day. I’m still going to shoot for 4-5 days a week, but 7 days a week just isn’t feasible! Hopefully this will help me focus my content a bit, and only really post when something exciting happens. That’s a win-win right?
There’s a reason people say “Quality over quantity” – in this case it really is true! So, if you haven’t heard from me in a day or two, never fear. I’ll be back soon, hopefully with some good thoughts and pictures! Or I’ve drowned in grad school reading. If so, send help. And coffee.

I think that is an awesome strategy! I post 4-5 days a week but always take the weekends off just because I need time to recharge and spend time doing things that are actually worth posting about.
Thanks Erin! I agree – everyone needs a little time to recharge
I think this is a great idea! I definitely don’t post every day and I try to aim for quality over quantity as well.
Always a good idea – and you achieve it!
