Things I’m loving lately, Instagram edition

Hello hello! Thought I’d give you guys a quick update today of some things I’m loving lately, via Instagram. Not following me on Instagram? You can find me at @lvanderwerp! In the mean time? Ready, set, go.

My Produce Place Camelbak

I’ve used – and loved – a Camelbak for years, but this one is not only functional, it also brings back great memories of my favorite independent grocery store in Nashville. Hydration + smiles? Win-win!

Runner’s World

Ever since I picked up my first Runner’s World magazine this spring, I have loved diving in and reading all that I can about running and runners! As a new runner, I’m still in the phase where anything and everything is helpful. I used some of my many hours of travel time back from Europe to pour over the special report I got for signing up for a subscription!
Getting reacquainted with my Asics

I loved my exercise break in Europe. But I am also loving getting back into the swing of things! I went for a little 3-mile, very slow, run yesterday morning – ready to start building up speed and endurance again!
Fresh Market coffee

Mom left me some chores the other day which included buying apples and bananas. I popped in our local Fresh Market to pick some up, and made a glorious discovery – bin after bin of bulk flavored coffees! After smelling them all, I settled on vanilla maple. Next time, I’m going for one of the chocolate flavors!
Cookies and Cream frosting

For Reid’s big birthday, I made a batch of How Sweet Eats’ cookies and cream cupcakes. The cupcakes were alright, but the frosting is killer! I could eat it by the spoonful. But then I’d have to get even more reacquainted with my Asics.
Afternoon tea

Since coming back from London, I have been missing my afternoon tea breaks. I recently reinstated them, Lady Grey tea and Tube mug and all! You can’t really tell, but there are pretty blue flowers in this tea – that’s the difference between Earl Grey and Lady Grey. Yum!
She Reads Truth

We recently started a new plan on She Reads Truth, all about prayer. Prayer is something that I definitely struggle with. Going to church? I’m all about that. Reading devotionals? That habit is getting easier and easier. But prayer isn’t about routines and schedules and checking off boxes. Prayer is about talking to God, making time to share with Him your problems and joys. This plan is definitely showing me the benefits of prayer, and how I can become better at it! It’s a slow but good process.
So there you have it – things I’m loving lately. What are you loving lately?
