Good morning all! It’s Olympic opening ceremony day!! Did you all catch my post yesterday about the Olympics and our health? Lots of good thoughts in the comments section! Regardless of whether I think the Olympics will have a positive or negative health impact, I’m excited to watch. And enjoy.
Speaking of enjoy – we enjoyed a nice birthday celebration last night for my baby cousin Clay!
He turned seventeen this week (I still don’t even understand how that is possible), and we took a trip to W.W. Cousin’s to build our own hamburgers. Love that place. Any restaurant that lets me customize my order exactly the way that I want it, by actually picking and placing the toppings on my burger, is good in my book!
Clay cleaned up in the clothing department, with two lacrosse shirts and a pair of shorts, plus the West Ham t-shirt from the London ghettos. He likes a good athletic apparel purchase!
After dinner, we decided that we needed to do our part for charity. All Dairy Queen blizzards purchased yesterday helped fund the Children’s Miracle Network, a great charity that supports children’s hospitals across the country! Ice cream and sick kids? Two very meaningful things in my book.
Altogether a great night. Happy Olympics opening ceremonies!

Looks like your cousin had a great birthday! Enjoy the Olympics tonight!
Thank you – you too!
