Hello all – hope your Wednesdays are off to a great start. Mom and I made a little visit to the gym, busted out some weights in Pump class and then stretched it out in Stretch class afterward, followed by a nice (slow) two miles on the treadmill. I’m thinking tomorrow will definitely be a rest and/or easy day for sure!
Now we’re home, ready for lunch and a little birthday-baking this afternoon (how can my littlest baby cousin Clay be this old??)

I thought I’d pop in today to give an update on how my July goal to be a better friend is going. Last time, I talked about how so many of my friends are scattered across the country – and even the globe! Since a lot of my month has been spent traveling, those are mainly the friends that I have been in touch with.
What’s missing from that equation? Spending time with friends in the here and now! Now that I’m back in Louisville for good (no more impending travels on the horizon, at least for now) I’m going to start reconnecting with my friends here. Sadly there aren’t as many people around these days, but the ones that are here are great!
So for the rest of July, and for the rest of this fall, my goal is to start rebuilding that friend-base here in town. Slow and steady folks, slow and steady! Happy Wednesday.
I hate how easily that connection with friends can slip when we get busy – what a great goal for July! Good luck making those connections even stronger!
So true. Thank you for the encouragement!
It is hard when your friends are all over the country! I grew up in Florida, went to school in Texas and now I live in missouri… so I know the feeling! It’s hard to be in the here and now sometimes, but being intentional about it helps! You can do it!
Thanks Courtney! It’s always good to get a little positive motivation
