Change is good

There’s been a lot of change in my life recently – leaving Nashville, traveling to Europe for a month, taking a break from running, getting a new laptop – all good fantastic things. But still all things that require change.

And my family? We don’t always like change. I blame these two.

But you know what? Sometimes change can be a good thing. A great thing, even! So, in this season of my life, I’m all about embracing the change.

Is my life the same as it was 12, 8, even 4 weeks ago? Absolutely not. But that’s a good thing. Don’t get me wrong: I loved Nashville. I enjoyed every second of my life in Apt. 919.

I’m just ready for the next big adventure! This past week has been filled with lots of errands and tasks for school: paying tuition, buying a parking pass, researching books, emailing professors, completing practicum forms. And you know what? It has made me so excited. I mean, SO excited! I’m ready to get in there and start learning about social work, and putting that learning into practice.

Some other change I’m excited about? Rejoining the gym, and regaining my running speed and endurance! I loved my European adventure/rest, but I’m also loving getting back into the swing of things. Don’t worry – I’m taking it slow, as y’all suggested when coming back from a break. Slow and steady…

So here’s to change! How are y’all embracing change in your lives today?
