If you follow me on Twitter (@vanderls) or on Instagram (@lvanderwerp), you may have noticed a lot of posts lately with the tag “She Reads Truth”. What is this you ask?

It’s a community of women, banded together in unity to support one another in reading the Word. It’s a place of fellowship, of encouragement, of honesty, of struggling together to grow in Christ. Basically, it’s a pretty cool deal.

You can read the story of how it got started here. For the past few weeks, we have been reading through the “Soul Detox” plan that can be found via YouVersion (download the smartphone app, or check it out online!) and sharing our thoughts, our struggles, our questions via Twitter and Instagram.

Let me tell you – not only does this group hold you accountable and create a sense of community, but it is so encouraging to wake up and find your Twitter and Instagram accounts filled with posts about women across the country digging into the Truth! It has completely changed my mornings.
