National Running Day

Hey, remember that time I ran 13.1 miles?

Yeah, me too. Sometimes most of the time I still can’t even really believe that I did it! Who would have thought that the girl who loathed running would become the girl who loves it?

Today is National Running Day. Unfortunately, I won’t actually be participating – remember that whole “listen to your body” business? I’m trying to respect its wishes, and stay healthy for ENGLAND!! T-minus 36 hours until we leave…

So, in lieu of a running post filled with pictures from this morning’s run, how about a round-up of some of my favorite old running posts that you might have missed?

The post where I explain how I have caught the running bug

The one safety item that every runner needs: a Road ID bracelet

The importance of a few good gadgets and a pair of shoes

The inside vs outside running debate – to treadmill or not to treadmill?

My first-ever race recap (the Kegs and Eggs 5k)

The importance of rest days to keep you healthy

Joining the runners’ club of strange injuries

And the half-marathon posts…

Tapering for the half-marathon, and the craziness that ensued

My marathon playlist

Marathon week anxiety

Gearing up for the possibility of rain

The race expo

My first half-marathon recap

Hope you enjoy! Are you celebrating National Running Day today?
