While I was chowing down on my TJ’s waffle this morning, I realized that I never gave y’all an update on my impulse buys from last week! I just can’t imagine what possibly could have distracted me…

So let’s recap: I picked some multigrain frozen toaster waffles, sparkling clementine juice, and a dark chocolate bar with bits of toffee, pecans and walnuts.

The verdicts?

Love the waffles so much that I’ve already picked up another package of them! They make for a quick and nutritious breakfast (no preservatives, made with whole wheat and oatmeal for extra fiber), especially with a smear of almond butter and some banana slices on top. Perfect for those mornings when you don’t have time to fool with oatmeal or a smoothie, and don’t feel like cereal.

The clementine juice was pretty good also. I don’t usually keep juice in the house, because I would rather drink water or iced tea or milk, but I think after so many afternoons of pouring juice for my two charges it just looked tempting! For the most part I didn’t drink it plain – I added it to some iced tea to make my own sparkling fruit tea, which was a great combo. Don’t know if I would buy it regularly, but it made for a fun treat!

And now for the chocolate bar – oh.my.goodness. If I wasn’t so loyal to my beloved dark chocolate mint bar, I would say that this is my new favorite. As it is, it stands as a close second! Thin dark chocolate studded with little bits of crunchy toffee and nuts? Yum!

So there you have it. All three impulse buys were successful! Love when that happens. What new foods or products have you tried lately?
