Springtime and blog happenings

Ahh, good morning all. Is anyone else experiencing/LOVING this beautiful weather that Nashville has been having? I guess it’s only fitting, since yesterday was the official first day of spring! And I’m breaking out the shorts and sundresses by the armload to keep up.

Well, actually I broke out this beauty to wear this morning since we’ve yet to turn the air conditioner on in our apartment…that’s what happens when you live with a thrifty Irishman!

If you can’t read, it says “Bride’s entourage” – as in Steph’s entourage. Wish I had the pedicure chair to go along with it!

Yesterday was fairly uneventful – a little bit of work in the morning with some newfound (and much needed) motivation, a carpool line or two, and an hour spent combing the grass for four-leaf clovers. Of course I had to hand over the only one that I found to the four-year-old – such is life as a babysitter!

The highlight of my day would have to be a toss-up between discovering a new-to-me local coffeeshop for a much-needed caffeine boost on my way to babysitting, and blasting Eric Church’s “Springsteen” on the radio with the windows down on my drive home. Seriously, Nashville spring is incredible. I’m going to miss it next year for sure!

Caramel and white chocolate soy latte? Yum!

But the highlight of my day today? (Other than my phone date with a friend across the country and my Skype date with a friend across the ocean, of course.) Being featured on Robin’s Bite, a blog by a registered dietician and nutrition expert.

Robin is doing a series called “Inside the Fridge”, and asking people to answer some questions about cooking, grocery shopping, and food while showing pictures from (you guessed it) inside their fridge. And today’s featured author? Me!

So go check it out, and sneak a peak at what the inside of our fridge looks like! Or at least my parts of it anyways…
